Going Green with Encharter Insurance: Electronic Funds Transfer
Sometimes it can seem tedious and annoying to send out your payments on your insurance policies every month. Wish your payments on your auto and home policy could be made easier? Well with Encharter Insurance, you don’t have to worry about sending in payments every month because we offer an Electronic Funds Transfer Plan!
Think of it like direct deposit, but in reverse. We will take your payment from your account automatically every month, so you don’t have to worry! It is actually really easy to set up as well! All you would have to do is give us your account number, routing number, and a voided check. Once you have the Electronic Funds Transfer account set up, you can worry about more important things instead of writing checks and sending in payments.
Having Encharter set the Electronic Transfer Plan up for you will also save you money! You’ll avoid the $5.00 monthly service fee and end up saving about $50/year. Sometimes you don’t realize how much these fees add up! And of course, there’s the added benefit of not having to write out a check, spend money on postage, mail it…It saves you time and stress.
And don’t forget that Earth Day is this week, so this is yet another great way to “go green”!

Reading Earth Day 2010
Did you know that half of the oxygen in the air is produced by plants in the sea and that oceans absorb about 1/3 of human-caused carbon dioxide emissions? – The Nature Conservancy
Did you also know that today, April 22, 2010, is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day? If you are not already doing everything that you can to save and preserve nature’s most valuable assets that help to keep us healthy and thriving, like those little plants in the ocean, then today is a great time to start! But, don’t just jump on the bandwagon for the day; keep taking action (big or small) all year round! Water covers about 71% of the earth and it’s very important that we take as much care of it as possible. You could be in the position to donate financially (visit the Nature Conservancy website); You could be in the mood to learn about cooking sustainable seafood (with Mario Batali and Dan Barber) or start using chemicals in your garden that will be less harmful to the oceans. The important thing to know is that every little bit helps. In addition, you may want to consider adopting a coral reef in the Bahamas or going to see Disneynature’s “Oceans” (a portion of the proceeds will be contributed to the Nature Conservancy to save the coral reefs in your honor).
Many of the most enjoyable things to do are done outside; spending time at the beach, hiking a mountain, sight-seeing the most picturesque and fascinating aspects of Mother Earth, vacationing to enjoy some peace and quiet or even adventure in the great outdoors. Whether your passion lies with the water, the air, the land or the animals, it’s time to start taking action to preserve this big blue globe and there are millions of ways to do so. So, take your pick and hop to it before another day goes by!
